Sweet Alchemy winning symbols

Sweet Alchemy’s winning symbols are a series of colorful candies. Wins are triggered by a cluster of four or more matching candies. Let’s start with the lowest-paying symbol: the Donut, which will score you twice your bet for a matching cluster of eight or more candies. The Cone will award 4x your bet for an 8+ cluster, the Bean 5x and the Cube 6x. For an 8+ matching cluster, the Pastille will net you 15x your total bet! The Heart and Nut will pay-out 20x for an 8+ cluster, whilst the Star will reward an 8+ matching cluster with a 30x multiplier.

There are also three different types of Wild – Regular, Stripes and Dotted. Wilds only appear once you match 6 candies, reaching the first level of the Sugar Rush Meter, at which point two Regular Wilds will be added to the grid. All Wilds substitute for any other symbol, but some have special features which we’ll get into a little later.

Sweet Alchemy special features

Sweet Alchemy slot’s Sugar Rush Meter fills for every candy that you manage to match on the reels. Once you hit six matched candies, two Regular Wilds are added to the board, potentially triggering more matches. Once you hit 13 candies, another two Wilds, this time Striped, will be added to the board. Striped Wilds, when matched, will clear a full row or column of candies, contributing to the Sugar Rush Meter. Then, at 25 candy matches, two Dotted Wilds will appear on the grid. Dotted Wilds, when matched, will remove all instances of a randomly chosen symbol, again contributing to the Sugar Rush Meter. If you manage to match 38 candies, then you’ll trigger the Mix the Elixir bonus game!

Now this will really sweeten you up – the Mix the Elixir Bonus game expands the grid to a 9x9. The grid is shuffled, and you’ll be given three spells to cast on the board once no more matches are available – the higher you get above 38 before triggering the game, the more spells you get. These spells affect the board in a variety of ways to help create more matches: Mixed Candy will re-shuffle the grid again, potentially triggering more matches. Sweet Surprise will place 7-12 different Wild Symbols on the grid whilst Sugar Bombs will randomly clear 7-15 normal candies.

During the Mix the Elixir bonus game, you’ll be challenged to collect a certain amount of two different symbols. If you manage to collect enough of them, you can then trigger the Elixir of Power bonus game. In this game, you’ll have to select tiles from a grid until you match up three to brew an elixir – depending on how well you completed the challenge will determine the prize bonus. At Prize Level 3, the Purple elixir will award 5x your total bet, the Blue elixir 10x. The Green elixir will multiply your total by 3x and the Pink elixir by 5x. The Orange elixir will multiply your total win by a whopping 10x.

Sweet Alchemy also features a level progression system. Whenever you complete the Elixir of Power bonus game, you’ll advance one position along the Candyland map, unlocking scattered treasure chests with prizes along the way.
