Throughout the year, there are always a number of different tennis events on the go. Some of these are major tournaments, or grand slams such as Wimbledon, the US Open or Roland-Garros. All of this simply means that you have a wide array of events to choose from when it comes to betting on tennis. This makes it really exciting as you have plenty of different players and bets to choose from.

Grand Slams

If you follow tennis, then you will know that there are four majors that take place throughout the year. These four events are known as the Grand Slam tournament events and include Wimbledon, the US Open, Australian Open and French Open.

Australian Open

This tournament is held in Melbourne. The event takes place each year during the last two weeks of January. It's notable in that it is the first of the four Grand Slam tournaments to take place in the year. It's one of two of these tournaments that takes place on regular hard courts too.

French Open

Also known as Roland-Garros, the French Open takes place just before Wimbledon in the last fortnight of May. Roland-Garros is unlike the other tournaments in that it is the only one that has a clay court. For many tennis players, this is the hardest surface to achieve success on.

These top four events are the most prestigious to win in the tennis world. Not only that, they have the most prize money to claim, increase rankings the most and attract the biggest crowds and media coverage. On top of that, these events are there to showcase the greater skill and strength of the players, in particular the men who have to play the longest matches across any tennis tournament.

When each of these events rolls around, Casumo is here ready. We offer the latest tennis odds on each of these events for the best gaming experience.

Wimbledon Odds

Wimbledon is arguably the most prestigious tennis event in the world. It's also the oldest tennis tournament in the world and the only one that takes place on grass courts. This event takes place over two weeks at the end of June and beginning of July and is set in London.

As this is one of the biggest tennis events, it will come as no surprise to learn that at Casumo we have hundreds of betting options available. These betting options include straightforward wagers such as who will be the winner of a specific match, to who will win the tournament outright.

In general, the UK has not been so successful in this event, even though it's a British tournament. However, Andy Murray ended the British winner drought in 2013. On top of that, he managed to seize the title again in 2016 proving it wasn't a one-off event.

For those choosing to play and bet with us, we have a wide range of hugely competitive odds for Wimbledon. This means that you can be assured of getting the very best options when it comes to betting.

US Open at Casumo

The US Open is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments and is, in fact, one of the older ones. This event takes place every year at the end of the tennis calendar between the end of August and the start of September. Similar to the Australian Open, the US Open takes place on hard courts only.

Interestingly though, this championship has undergone some of the most dramatic changes. The venue has changed on a number of occasions, although it has been played in New York since 1978. Additionally, the surface of the tournament has also changed. It was originally played on grass, then moved to clay, before turning to hard courts alongside the move to New York.

While the British do have a lot of good tennis players, overall, the UK has not seen much success in the Grand Slams as a whole and the US Open in particular. In fact, Fred Perry is arguably the main name to bring up here. Not only did he win the US Open in both 1933, 1934 and 1936, but he's the only Brit to ever win all four Grand Slams! Andy Murray has also managed to claim the US title when, in 2012, he beat Djokovic to take this for the first time. British women have not had a win here since Virginia Wade in 1968.

How to Bet on Tennis

As we've mentioned, there are many different bets to choose from when it comes to tennis betting. If you are going to get betting on tennis, then it's important that you know what all the options are. Here are just some of the betting options you can place on tennis:

Match Betting

Usually, this type of bet involves predicting which of the two players will be the match-winner. This is done before the match begins. The earlier before a game you can place this bet, the better the odds usually will be. However, you do need to consider each players' form and the surface they are playing on in order to make an accurate bet. In tennis, while higher-seeded players are generally more likely to win, there are often upsets by underdogs on the day.

Set Betting

Tennis is made up of games, sets and matches. With this in mind, it's also possible to place bets on each individual section too. Before a tennis match starts, it's possible to place bets on how many sets you think a particular player will win. This is not the same as betting on the match, because one player may only win one or two sets.

If this is the option you are go

ing for though, you need to remember that women play fewer sets than men. You also need to be aware of whether you are betting on a major because here, the men can end up playing two extra sets to normal tennis matches which could affect your bet.

Game betting

Just like match and set betting, this is all about betting on each of the games within a set. Again, you can predict how many games each player will win in a single set, or even bet on a larger scale and look at the games within an entire match. This latter bet is a lot harder though.

Under/over

This type of bet means we set the total number of games or sets that will be played in a match. When we set these, it's usually something like 2.5 sets will be played. You then have to bet on whether you think more or fewer sets will be played before the match ends and a winner is declared.

Game Handicap

Handicap betting is a little more intricate than some of the other options. Essentially, it's the same as spread betting. Basically, you are betting on the player to perform at the level you would expect them to

, or even better. It's not restricted to games either, but can be applied to the number of sets a player wins as well.

Correct score

As the name suggests, this very specific bet is all about super accurate predictions. You need to be able to guess correctly the exact final score of the entire match. Get even one score or number wrong and this bet is void. However, get it right and this complex bet could pay out handsomely.

Tennis Live Betting

Live betting is one of the newest betting options out there. Live betting means that you can place bets while the game is underway. This means that you can have a little extra control over your bet as you can see the way the game is progressing more easily.

However, the odds during live betting will fluctuate a lot as bookies are following the action too. On top of that, they are usually lower than the odds given for similar bets when placed before a game starts. Tennis also happens pretty quickly, with games turning in an instant. This means that you do have to act very fast when placing a live bet on tennis.

You can place a number of different live bets on tennis. These can include who will win the game, set or match. It's even possible to place bets such as whether a player will serve an ace or not. Other options you can play are the next game to deuce, exact set score, point betting and so on.
